2008 PHS Summer Band Marching Rehearsals!!!
Let's be GREAT!

6-9pm (except wednesday)These rehearsals are required of all marching band members and are so very important to the success of our show. We will start learning the half-time show drill & music and we need 100% committment. Work is not excused, so please schedule that around rehearsal times. Lunch will be closed campus (11:30-1pm), so you will not be allowed to leave the campus (no walking to taco bell, etc).
We will be outside from 8am-11:30am everyday and even though it is morning, it still gets hot. You need to start preparing yourself physically for the heat by getting outdoors and drinking lots of fluids. Please eat a good breakfast that will sustain you until lunch time. We will be inside 1-5pm.
Things you will need to bring/do:
1. Bring your instrument, music, and/or guard equipment
2. Wear light colored clothing, athletic shoes (no sandals), & sunscreen
3. Bring 1/2 gallon water jug or bigger with your name labeled on it. (water breaks will be frequent & outside....not a mile long line at the water fountain)
4. 3 ring binder, 30 clear plastic sheet protectors, pencil, highlighters
5. 50 spiral notecards & shoe string or lanyard
6. Bring your lunch, money to buy a band booster lunch, or have someone bring you something. (CLOSED CAMPUS for lunch)
7. Always have a good, positive attitude!
Remember, this is a STATE YEAR! Anything is possible, you just have to BELIEVE!
The drum majors just got back from their camp at TJC in Tyler. Great job Laura & Cheyenne!
Band Registration - Saturday, Aug 16th
Freshmen - 10amSophomores - 11amJuniors & Seniors - 11:45amWe will order band shirts, marching shoes (if needed), gloves, flip folders, do band uniform fittings, and membership volunteer sign-ups. Total cost will not exceed $60 and will need to be paid in full that day. Color guard parents have already ordered their uniforms, but are welcomed to come sign-up for band booster committees and meet other parents.
Band Garage Sale!!!! Friday, August 15th from 8am-3pm....
Start bringing items from your house and put them in the band hall.
